Die Maschine benötigt ein Zugfahrzeug mit über 120 PS und Frontantrieb, da die Arbeitstiefe der Maschine 50–60 cm beträgt und der rechte Rodekopf 55 cm breit ist und die Form eines offenen U hat.
Die Einebnungsgegenschar auf der linken Maschinenseite arbeitet in der gleichen Tiefe und hat eine ähnliche Breite.
Der gepflügte Boden mit dem Baum gelangt zum Schüttler, der von einem Hydraulikmotor angetrieben wird.
Je nach Position der Schüttelstange auf dem Schwungrad kann zwischen vier Schüttelintensitätsstufen gewählt werden.
Hier fällt der Boden auf die fünf Schüttelstangen, der Baum selbst bleibt jedoch übrig. Andere Arbeiter sammeln ihn, markieren ihn und bündeln ihn je nach Kundenwunsch in fünf oder zehn Teile.
